Colm McManus receives his Leinster final memento from Marie Hickey

Another honour for top Kells referee

Popular Meath referee Colm McManus was on duty in the opening game at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow on Saturday where he officiated at the Leinster JFC decider between Offaly and Wexford.

He received a memento (main photo) from Ladies Leinster GAA president Marie Hickey before the main presentation

 

Also assisting the Gaeil Colmcille official were umpires Patrick Reilly and Michael Buchanan. 

McManus has been refereeing ladies football for seven years and is now in his third year on the Leinster panel.

He officiated at the 2010 Leinster u-16 B final and 12 months later handled the junior club championship decider.

Last year he took charge of the senior club championship final between Shelmalier and Foxrock Cabinteely.

This year he also handled the Leinster Minor C final between Louth and Westmeath and an All-Ireland u-14 A semi-final between Kildare and Cavan.


He also remains one of the most respected officials on the club scene in Meath.


Offaly won Saturday’s final in Carlow by 3-16 to 1-13. It was the curtainraiser for the Meath v Dublin senior decider.
