Kiltale edge Longwood in thriller

Jack Regan's late point gave Kiltale a 1-14 to 1-13 SHC second round victory over Longwood in a thriller at Trim this evening in front of a sizeable crowd for a 7.30pm Tuesday night game.

Longwood will feel that they deserved something out of the game as they were in front all the way until the 58th minute when Regan drew the sides level at 1-12 apiece.

Longwood were ahead by 1-7 to 0-6 at the interval with Damien Healy finding the net.

Kiltale kept battling, but appeaerd to be in trouble when Longwood forged ahead by 1-12 to 0-11 with five minutes remianing.

However, Regan rifled a 20-metre free to the net for Kiltale and they snatched victory with virtually the last puck of the game.

The third round of the SHC will be played next weekend (12th - 13th July and the fixtures are: 

Drumree v Navan O'Mahonys

Trim v Dunboyne

Rathmolyon v Na Fianna

Kiltale v Killyon

Longwood v Boardsmill

Kildalkey v Kilmessan.
