Six AIMS nominations for Trim

Trim Musical Society have received six nominations for the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS) awards, the equivalent to the ‘Oscars’ in the eyes of musical societies.

The society was nominated for its production of ‘The Witches of Eastwick’ performed over Easter in Scoil Mhuire, Trim. The nominations were received for Best Actor, Niall Dempsey (Darryl Van Horne); Best Comedienne, Gwen Bagnall (Felicia Gabriel); Best Singer, Siobhan McAlesse (Sukie Rougement); Best Director, Gareth Mahony; Best Stage Manager, Frank Connolly; and Best Overall Show.

The society says it is a great achievement to receive so many nominations in a wide range of categories. The results will be revealed at a black tie banquet in The Glen Eagles, Killarney on Saturday 15th June.
