Meath hurlers at Kilmessan Centra promotion

Meath hurlers were present with over 100 children who attended a hurling skills session at Kilmessan Hurling Club last Saturday when Costello’s Centra joined forces with the club to host a ‘Brighten Your Community’ family day to celebrate Centra’s sponsorship of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship.

The family day was open to all, with girls and boys from Kilmessan, Dunsany and Kiltale communities aged from as young as four up to under 14’s brushing up their skills with a training session with some local hurling stars.

The skills session was followed by a BBQ at the club, where the children  enjoyed some of Centra’s new Own Brand range, and a host of entertainment including face painting, balloon making, music, prizes and much more.

Gary Costello, Centra Kilmessan commented, “It is fantastic to see so many families and we are thrilled to be in a position to bring the community together. GAA is at the heart of local communities across Ireland and just like Centra, it recognises the need for the community to come together and support each other. 2013 marks Centra’s fourth year as sponsor of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, something which we here in Costello’s Centra Kilmessan are extremely proud of.”

Throughout the summer local Centra stores all over the country will be taking part in ‘Brighten up Your Community’ club events. See centra.ie or find ‘Centra Ireland’ on Facebook and Twitter for details throughout the summer.
