Lily wins again

Trim owners Clodagh and Kevin Mitchell were celebrating another victory for the talented Lily's Angel yesterday when the filly won the group three Chartwell Fillies' Stakes for jockey Gary Carroll at Lingfield.

Previously successful last month at Kempton in the Betfred Snowdrop Fillies' Stakes, Lily's Angel seems to like travelling as she also won at the Dubai Carnival last January

Yesterday the Ger Lyons-trained Lily's Angel (4-1) stepped up in class and got the better of French filly Kendam by a short head with the favourite Ultrasonic back in fourth place.

'She was really struggling in the ground and it took her a long time to get going but she finished well,' said jockey Gary Carroll.

The Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown is now an option as is the Duke of Cambridge Stakes which could have the Kiltale filly on her travels again.
