Meath win well in Belfast

Meath found the winning formula in the NFL Div 3 in Belfast this afternoon when they recorded a 1-19 to 0-11 victory over Antrim at Casement Park.

This was a solid display by Meath who were ahead by 1-9 to 0-6 at the interval with the goal coming from Michael Newman after six minutes.

Meath's task was made easier in the second-half when Antrim were reduced to 13 men following separate sending-off incidents.

Meath added the points with confidence in the second-half with Graham Reilly (four), Newman (two) Conor Gillespie, Brian Farrell, David Larkin and Sean Curran all splitting the posts.

Seamus Kenny was on the bench today after playing for his club last night although he was not introduced.

Meath will host Fermanagh next Sunday where a win will earn a place in the final and secure promotion - the same applies to fermanagh so it will be a real championship-like encounter.

Supporters are reminded that the game will be all-ticket and that Jack Kiernan's in Navan will have tickets on sale from Tuesday.
