Four vie for GAA chair
Meath GAA Co Board will have a new chairman on Monday 10th December and there will be four contenders to replace outgoing official Barney Allen who has completed five years at the helm in the Royal County. Former chairman Brendan Dempsey, former vice-chairman Eugene Comaskey, current vice-chairman Conor Tormey and current treasurer Pat Clerkin have been nominated for the position. Eamonn Barry, who was deemed ineligible to contest any position last year has been nominated for the role of Coaching Officer while Martin O'Halloran, also deemed ineligible last year, has been nominated again for the role of PRO. The annual convention will take place at Aras Tailteann on Monday 10th December at 7pm.
