Farrell to stay as hurling boss

Cillian Farrell has been recommended by Meath Co Board management committee to take charge of the senior hurling team for another year at least. The former Offaly player helped Meath secure their place in the Christy Ring Cup for 2013 with a 1-16 to 0-16 victory over Kildare last May. This will be Farrell's third term at the helm and it is expected that his ratification at next Monday night's Co Board meeting will be a formality.
