Seamus McEnaney has decided against seeking a third term as Meath senior football manager and he will depart his position with immediate effect. In a statement release through the Co Board on Thursday night, McEnaney confirmed his decision and thanked everyone involved in Meath GAA. "To Whom it May Concern, I am stepping down as Meath senior football team manager with immediate effect. I want to thank my Management team and the Meath players for their huge effort, commitment and Loyalty they have given me over the past two years. I want to thank the Meath County Board, the Meath Supporters and everyone involved in the GAA in County Meath. Kind Regards, Seamus Mc Enaney" The news was also relayed on RTÉ's Championship Matters programme on Thursday night where McEnaney explained that he believed it would take at least three or four more years to get Meath back to where they belong, but he didn't believe he would be given that time to complete the project.
