Man hospitalised with stab wounds in Navan

A man in his 20s was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda after being found with stab wounds in the Beechmount area of Navan at around midnight on Saturday. The man, who is from the town, was found with wounds to his back at a green area in Beechmount. It is understood that members of the public who came to the man's assistance alerted Gardai. He was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and spent Sunday in hospital but discharged himself that evening.
