County Meath-based exploration service company has announced over €1 million in domestic and overseas service contracts while also doubling the number of its staff at its headquarters in Kells. Aurum Exploration Services made the announcement at Enterprise Ireland's business networking event during the St Patrick's Day visit of Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Eamon Gilmore to Toronto, Canada. The international deals have resulted in a doubling of staff numbers to 30 at Aurum's headquarters at Kells Business Park, and increasing its turnover to €2.25 million since 2009. Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with the company to support its international activities. Welcoming the announcement, Mr Gilmore said: "The success of Aurum Exploration Services in Canada and other export markets is a clear demonstration of the significant opportunity for Irish companies in international markets to support and grow employment at home.
