Sinead Fox.

Two acts bid for glory in 'The Voice'

Talented Ardcath singer, Sinead Fox, will compete in the second live round of the RTE talent show 'The Voice' on Sunday night. Eighteen year-old Sinead is one of 12 children of Patricia and Donal Fox in Ardcath, and is hoping to make her career in the music business. She is being mentored for the show by Brian Kennedy, having had a choice of both the Belfast songwriter and Westlife's Kian Egan as her mentor. In the first of the live shows, she finished in the bottom two of Brian's acts, but was saved by Brian and is now hoping to impress the voters and judges in Sunday night's show, and is urging the people of Meath to vote for her. A former student at Ashbourne Community School, she finished secondary school last year and decided to concentrate on the 'The Voice' competition this year and applied last September. Meanwhile, Longwood's Elliot Canavan Doyle has also made it through to the second round of the live finals. The talented young singer was in the bottom two during last Sunday night's live show but was saved by his mentor, Kian Egan. He will perform again on Sunday week.
