Boylan returns to management

Sean Boylan will wear the bainisteoir bib again next February after it was announced this week that the Meath legend will take charge of Leinster for the Inter-Provincial Series. Four-time All-Ireland winning boss Boylan, who recently became Meath's director of football, will take charge of Leinster in their semi-final against Munster at Parnell Park. Boylan has yet to reveal his backroom team, but the inclusion of the former Meath and Ireland manager is sure to give the flagging inter-provincial competition a boost. Former Offaly star player and manager Joe Doley will take charge of the Leinster hurlers for their semi-final against Munster at Nowlan Park. Dooley, who has managed Ireland in recent hurling/shinty internationals, will be assisted by ex-Wexford and Leinster manager John Conran and former Kilkenny midfield star Derek Lyng, who only retired from inter-county hurling last year. The semi-finals in both football and hurling will take place on the weekend of 18th February, with the hurling decider to be played the following weekend and the football final to be played on the first weekend of March.
