Foley joins new management team
Clonard football manager Kevin Foley has been included as a selector on the Meath minor management team under coach Andy McEntee. The other selectors are Breen O'Grady and Padraig Coyle. The appointment of all four is subject to ratification at the Co Committee's monthly meeting on Monday night. Last week Foley's reputation was a coach was greatly enhanced when he guided Clonard to a Junior B FC title. He will be best remembered from his playing days for his famous goal against Dublin in the four-game saga 20 years ago. McEntee held off the challenge of Kit Henry to get the minor football manager's role and replace Davy Dalton. McEntee was a member of the Meath panels that won the Sam Maguire in 1987 and '88 and this year he guided Donaghmore/Ashbourne to the SFC semi-final where they were defeated by Dunshaughlin. McEntee's appointment is the first under new Director of Football Sean Boylan.
