'X-Factor' star Ben Dillon back at home on Grove Farm this week.

Ben's 'hat trick' shows he has the 'X-Factor'

A Kells 'X-Factor' hopeful was the star of the ITV show on Saturday night after his memorable 'hat trick' delighted both audience and judges alike. On Saturday night, 22-year-old Ben Dillon from Fordstown, Kells, appeared on the follow-up show to the mega-hit musical talent show - watched by millions across the world - performing Robbie Williams' 'Angels' before a packed Liverpool Echo Arena and four bemused judges - not least one Gary Barlow of Take That! fame. Ben didn't make it through to the next round of auditions on vocal merit but the crowd loved his use of Barlow's head as a stand for his porkpie hat while he performed the smash hit that had the audience on their feet singing along. "I've got the entertainment factor. "I'm the next Jedward!" joked Ben, who says he'll be back for more musical mischief next year.
