Seaside trip ends in bus crash

A bus bringing a group of 50 children and adults home from a day out at Laytown crashed on Tuesday afternoon at the railway bridge in the seaside village. The hired coach was transporting a group taking part in the Meath Travellers Workshop Summer Project. All adults and children were examined by emergency services at the scene and some were taken to hospital in Drogheda for further attention. Nobody was seriously injured, but one pregnant woman is still being monitored in hospital. No other vehicle was involved in the incident.
