Rogers beaten twice in Sligo
Gary Rogers produced a series of top class saves for St Patrick's Athletic at The Showgrounds against Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division clash on Saturday night. However, the highly-rated Bohermeen netminder was beaten twice in the second-half when former Sporting Fingal player Alan Kirby finished to the net as the hosts took the points. At Hunky Dorys Park on Friday night, Drogheda Utd picked up a point following a 1-1 draw with Galway Utd in a game which saw regular goalkepper David Quirke on the bench. However, Kells man and former Meath minor footballer Darragh McNamara returned to action after a spell on the sideline through injury. McNamara returned to action in the 83rd minute. Drogheda go to Bray this weekend while St Pat's host UCD.
