Search is on for Meath's Rose of Tralee for 2011

Entry is now open for the 2011 Meath Rose of Tralee, giving young women from all over the county the chance to be the Meath Rose and maybe even the International Rose of Tralee. Local businesses, sports organisations, professional groupings and individuals are invited to take part in what promises to be a memorable selection event. The Meath Rose of Tralee, 2011 Selection Night will take place in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan on Saturday 9th April at 8pm. The 2010 Meath Rose, Sarah McCann, said: "My time as the Meath Rose has been the most incredible year of my life. The opportunities that have presented themselves to me have been life changing and I have made friends for life. The events I attended were amazing-fashion shows, charity events and black tie functions. I would encourage every girl to enter the search for the Rose. No matter how far you get in the process, you can be assured it will be a memorable experience." Along with the potential of becoming the 2011 Meath Rose and representing your county and local community you could win prizes including Newbridge Silverware jewellery and Carlton Hotel Gift Cards. Should you go forward and become the 2011 Rose of Tralee, the prize is a €25,000 world prize, car for a year, a complete collection of Newbridge Silverware homeware and jewellery products, plus more. Kate Markey, Meath Rose Centre said: "Entering the Meath Rose of Tralee, is a wonderful experience, a chance to make new life long friends, reunite with old friends and make the most wonderful memories." The Meath Rose of Tralee committee is also looking for escorts to accompany a Rose on the Meath Selection Night and one lucky escort will be selected to become an international escort at the International Festival in Tralee this August.
