Warning on black ice at Ballivor

Dear sir - On Tuesday I was involved in a car accident on the Trim Road, Ballivor. I would like to thank the kind people who stopped and helped me. I would like to warn the people of Meath and the surrounding counties of the hazard of driving on the Trim to Ballivor during the winter. I have lived in Ballivor for the past four years and every winter a number of cars are involved in accidents caused by black ice on this stretch of road. A short time later two cars crashed at the same point and another two cars crashed further along the road. All these accidents were caused by black ice. I have spoken to a number of local residents who all agree that if nothing will someone will be seriously injured or killed on this stretch of road. The council have resurfaced a black spot further along the road and this seems to have made a difference this winter. I have contacted local politicians and Meath County Council to ask them to resurface this stretch of road. I wonder if they will do it before someone is seriously hurt? Yours, Jo Webb, Ballivor.
