Kennedy’s return date at Solstice

Solstice Arts Centre hosts the return visit of singer songwriter Brian Kennedy on Saturday 20th November. Born in Belfast in 1966, Kennedy moved to London when he was eighteen. He quickly started making a name for himself on the London scene. Spotted by Van Morrison singing in a West End club, Brian was invited to join Van's renowned Blues and Soul World Tour, which lasted on the road for an incredible six years. This tour gave Brian the opportunity to perform with some of the world's legends in the music industry, including Ray Charles, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan to name just a few. Kennedy also backed Van on several albums including 'Days Like This' and 'Back On Top'. Kennedy released his debut album 'The Great War Of Words' in 1990 along with the highly successful singles 'Captured' and 'Town'. Apart from 290 performances as lead singer in Riverdance on Broadway, ten albums, vast appearances on TV shows around the world, Kennedy also toured from Europe to the USA. He is celebrating 20 years in the music business with a new album out now 'The Very Best of Brian Kennedy'.
