Athboy and Ballivor burglaries are related, Gardai now believe

Gardai are investigating three burglaries which they believe are related that took place in Ballivor, Hill of Down and Athboy last Friday, 8th October. A house was broken into at Crossantown, Ballivor, between 1.30pm and 5.30pm when a front window was forced. An internal door was damaged and a small sum of cash was taken from the house. Another burglary took place at Killnagalliagh, Hill of Down, Enfield, between 3pm and 4.30pm the same day. A green OO D-registered Volkswagan Polo was seen in the vicinity at the time. Items of jewellery were stolen. A third burglary occurred at Ballyfallon, Athboy, the same day between 9.15am and 5.45pm. A window frame was forced at the back of the house and a quantity of cash was stolen. Gardai believe the three burglaries were carried out by the same culprits and are keen to hear of any other sightings of a green VW Polo in these areas. Contact Trim Gardai at (046) 943 1222. Trim Gardai are also investigating a burglary which took place at Dillon Court, Trim, between 9.15pm and 11.15pm on Sunday 10th October. A rear window was forced to gain entry and a quantity of cash and jewellery were stolen. Another burglary occurred at a house at Lambertstown Manor, Kilmessan, between 9am on 4th October and 10am on 7th October. A rear window was forced. Nothing was taken in the burglary. Gardai are appealing for information on the theft of a trailer from a yard at Kilmer, Ballivor, between 6pm on 7th October and 1pm on 9th October. A black 07 D-registered Toyota Land Cruiser was seen drawing the trailer at Coolronan on 7th October, travelling in the direction of Delvin. The trailer is a 8x4 twin-axle blue trailer. Meanwhile, the bumper of a grey 02-registered Seat Toledo was stolen at Griffin Park, Trim, at around 1.30am on Thursday 7th October. A second car was broken into at Eldergrove, Trim, on the same night. The 98 MH-registered silver Peugeot 406 was broken into between 8pm on 7th October and 6.45am on 8th October, and a CD player and sat-nav were stolen from the vehicle.
