Hotel family's joy at hospitality nomination

The Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, which has been owned and managed by the Duff family for almost 40 years, received great news this week, having been selected as a finalist for a major national hospitality award. The Headfort Arms has been nominated as a finalist in the National Hotel and Catering Gold Medal Awards in the category of best three-star hotel. The nomination puts the hotel in the top tier of hotel and catering operators in its category in Ireland. The award is judged on overall experience in dining, customer service, accommodation and hospitality. According to Olivia Duff of the Headfort Arms, "the nomination was given after several mystery guest inspections and is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at the Headfort". The winner will be announced at a gala awards ceremony in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, on 20th September.
