Summerhill girl bids to become 'Face Of Ireland'

Summerhill beauty Amie McCormack has been chosen to represent Meath in the All-Ireland final of this year's 'Face of Ireland' modelling competition. The final will see over 32 girls from all over Ireland compete in this prestigious competition in Jackson's Hotel, Co Donegal, in November in the hope of becoming the next 'Face of Ireland'. The winner will receive a year's modeling contract with the popular Compton Modeling Agency in Dublin, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to New York, a piece of diamond jewellery to the value of €2,500 and a year of glitz and glamour at all the high-profile events taking place in Ireland in 2011. The stunning 20-year-old is a girl of many talents - not only is she a part-time hairdresser, but she also works in Lidl, does promotional work for Autoglym working at various car shows from 'Top Gear Live' to 'Toys For Big Boys', and in her spare time is also training to be a DJ. Amie has been approached a few times about modelling and has modelled at charity fashion shows. She said: "I would like to pursue this as a potential career and while searching online found the website for the Face of Ireland competition and applied. I am so thrilled that I have reached the finals."
