Broken promises on Navan Hospital

Dear sir - I write this letter with a saddened heart. It is a very sad day for the people of Navan and the county Meath. I have watched and listened to our 'great councillors 'and 'super TDs' who have sat and done nothing, and watched our hospital services disappear. Shame on you. The only councillor who can hold his head high and say 'I tried my best' is Councillor Joe Reilly, who organised several protest marches and - surprise, surprise - no one turned up. I was at one such protest and only a handful turned out, I also went to a meeting in the community centre and Mr Dempsey turned up and there was rapturous applause when he told us all that no more services would leave Navan hospital. I am sick of listening to broken promises. It's terrible when people are so blinded by their party politics and allegiances that they will follow them to their graves without asking what the hell are you doing about it? But, then again, they will probably never have to use Navan hospital. They will be in the Blackrock Private Hospital. I now rest my case on this sad week for Navan. Gordon Forde, Silverlawns, Navan.
