Curtain up on 22nd Enfield Revue

It's Enfield Revue time again and the cast and crew are on the final countdown before the lights go up on the 2010 production, which opens next Tuesday, 16th February. As always, variety is the name of the game for the 2010 Revue, which will run for four nights from 16th February in Rapture at the Hamlet Court Hotel, with curtain-up at 8pm each night. Since last September, the cast members have been in rehearsals for the popular variety show, which includes music, comedy and solo acts that are sure to please. With cast members coming from Cavan, Kinnegad, Longwood, Trim, Summerhill, Kilcock, Clonard, Celbridge, Edenderry, Johnstownbridge and, of course, Enfield itself, talent is in abundance with each member contributing to this colourful vibrant, slick, funny and entertaining show. The show is once again choreographed by Corona Cograve who herself is no stranger to the stage. The Revue is headed by chairman Jimmy Keogh who has been with Enfield Revue since the first show back in 1984. Jimmy is one of the backbones of Enfield Revue and gives 100 per cent to each and every show. Revue 2010 is the 22nd production for the group. It was not staged in 2001 due to the foot-and-mouth outbreak and took a break from 2003-2006 before returning with a bang and fresh start in the Hamlet Court Hotel in 2007. The 2010 Enfield Revue sees a number of new faces join the cast. The orchestra and backing singers have increased in numbers and Revue welcomes back Fergus Clinton along with Jay Kelly on lead guitar and Louise Kaiser on saxophone and clarinet. The Enfield Revue will take place in the Hamlet Court Hotel, Johnstownbridge, from 16th-19th February inclusive, at 8pm. Tickets are €10 for adaults, €8 for children and family and group rates are available. All tickets are available at the door.
