This year's Kells Comedy Festival runs from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th February in the Headfort Arms Hotel. The festival will play host to the biggest acts on the comedy circuit, including Ireland's favorite comedy trio 'Apres Match', stars of 'The Savage Eye' and a comical play 'In High Germany. Local comedian 'Aodhgan Comaskey' will play host to the best in new up and coming comedy talent. Committee member Fred Cooke said: "The Kells Comedy Festival this year will deliver the finest this country can give, with high status television acts, an award winning play, and the best in local talent". The opening night on Thursday 25th February brings Irelands favorite comedy trio 'ApresMatch' to Kells. This line-up includes Barry Murphy (That's All We Have Time For) Ristard Cooper (Chasing The Lions) and Gary Cooke. Tickets for this event is €25. The comedy play, 'In High Germany', an award winning comedy play performed by Gerry Motherway will take place on the Friday night. The ticket price for this is €10 with free admission to the Vibe included. Aodhgan's Open Mike Comedy Showdown, will see local comedian, Aodhgán Comaskey playing host to the finest up and coming comedy acts this country has to offer. The ticket price for this is 10 Euro and fee admission to the Vibe is also ncluded. Tickets for to see both 'In High Germany', 'Aodhgan's Open Mike Comedy Showdown' and admission to the Vibe are available for €15. Saturday 27th will see a triple headliner event with 'Stars from the Savage Eye'. This critically acclaimed show has being nominated for an IFTA Award. The acts include David Mc Savage, Patrick Mc Donnald (Eoin Mc Love in Father Ted, Naked Camera) and John Colleary (Naked Camera, Tj and Tj on Matt Cooper). Ticket price for this event is €20.
