FF picks five for Navan contest

Fianna Fáil headquarters has chosen Marguerite Fitzpatrick to contest the Navan Town Council elections in June, along with the four sitting councillors. Ms Fitzpatrick (29) is from Simonstown but is now living in Athlumney. She is a former president of the DIT students" union and works for Cyprian Brady, TD. She is the captain of Navan Ladies" Hockey second team, plays badminton and is a member of Simontown GAA Club. Ms Fitzpatrick is also a volunteer adult literacy tutor with Meath VEC. She will join the four sitting councillors, Mayor Padraig Fitzsimons, Cllrs Shane Cassells, Tommy Reilly and Christy Reilly on the election ticket.
