Heary advances at Paralympics

Meath archer Sean Heary narrowly edged out fourth-ranked Sung Kil from South Korea to reach the quarter-finals of the Paralympics at Beijing yesterday. The Meathman registered 29 out of a possible 30 from his last three arrows to win by the slimmest of margins in the tense finish. Heary added that he was thrilled with his victory. He was particularly pleased with the way he stayed focused to edge out his fancied opponent.
