Cleary on bench for clash with argentina

The latest chapter in the career of young Meath rugby player Fergal Cleary will unfold today in the Italian city of Parma. 

Cleary is among the replacements as Ireland kick-start their u-20 Rugby World Cup campaign with a game against Argentina, 3.30 Irish time at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, Parma.

The team is coached by Nigel Carolan and Cleary will be hoping he can get an opportunity to add to his collection of international caps. 

Cleary, who is from the Drumree area, started his career with Navan and he also played for Clongowes Wood in the Leinster Schools Senior Cup.

He has also represented Ireland at various underage levels and turned out for Lansdowne.

The u-20 World Cup starts today and continues on until Saturday 20th June. Also in Ireland's group are Scotland and New Zealand.
