Rock Celtic retained the Meath & District League Prmier title this evening.

The LOuth side negotiated the challenge of Carrick Rovers in an open game which was played at Bellurgan FC.

The game was originally scheduled for this afternoon, but was changed to avoid a clash with FBD Insurance Ras which was in the area this afternoon after a midday start from Dunboyne.

Kentstown Rovers secured the Meath & District League Div 2 title today.

Kentstown defeated Kells / Blackwater in a play-off for the title at the MDL, Navan watched by a crowd of about 250.

The sunshine and hot conditions took a toll on the players, but Kentstown were worthy winners.

The club hosted a 30th anniversary celebration on Friday night at which John Delaney of the FAI was the guest of honour.

Kells / Blackwater must now play Robinstown in the Div 1 / Div 2 promotion / relegation play-off next Sunday.

PLAY-OFF

Torro Utd completed a great escape today when they won the Premier / Div 1 promotion / relegation play-off against Cavan Town by 4-3.
