Drumree jockey Barry Geraghty recorded his second winner of the week at Galway today when he won the novice chase with Beau Michael for trainer Ado McGuinness.

Beau Michael needed to battle to eventually shrug off the challenge of Armaramak to win by a neck.

Cheltenham in November is a long-term target.

Gordon Elliott and Paul Carberry won the opening race on the card today with Chicago Grey.

Chicago Grey stayed on in the straight to hold the late challenge of Dermot Weld's 100/30 favourite Prince Erik.
