Six Soaring Stars for Meath

Six Meath players were honoured tonight with Soaring Stars at the Camogie Association Allstars awards at CityWest in Dublin.

The players honoured were Emily Mangan, Claire Coffey, Megan Thynne, Amy Gaffney, Aoife Minogue and Jane Dolan who was winning her sixth award.

Meath players will not be eligible for the Soaring Stars next year as they will be competing in the All-Ireland Camogie Senior Championship for the first time.

However, there was no success for manager John Davis, the man who has taken Meath from the backwaters of the camogie world to the top table – a feat that surely merited recognition by the Camogie Association – or maybe it's no big deal?
