Clann na nGael ladies looking forward now to a Leinster final on Saturday week.

Leinster wins for Clann na nGael and Dunboyne ladies

Two of the three ladies football teams from Meath that were in action in the Leinster Club Championships yesterday qualified for finals that will be played in Kinnegad on Saturday 28th October.

Clann na nGael qualified for the Leinster Ladies JFC Club final with an impressive victory against Longford hosts Dromard when they won with plenty to spare by 2-15 to 2-4.

First-half goals from Louise O'Connor (penalty) and Vivienne McCormack helped the Meath woman into a 2-7 to 0-2 interval advantage.

Dunboyne will tackle a St Maur's side that defeated Longford champions Clonguish by 2-14 to 1-8 in the other semi-final.

Following their superb Meath SFC victory last week when they got the better of Boardsmill in an exciting decider at Skryne, the women from Oldcastle embarked on a Leinster SFC Club campaign on Saturday with a tough assignment against Dublin champions Foxrock / Cabinteely at Bray Emmets.

The Dublin women won convincingly by 4-6 to 0-5.
