Na Fianna players in a huddle before today's clash with Kilskyre/Moylagh.

Na Fianna edge out Kilskyre/Moylagh in thriller

It was spills and thrills all the way as Na Fianna defeated Kilskyre/Moylagh 2-19 to 2-17 in the IHC at Trim today - but only after extra-time.

Their was no shortage of drama as both sides enjoyed spells in front in this absorbing contest with Diarmuid Bailey and Will Flynn registering goals for Na Fianna while substitute Jack Tunney twice found the net for Kilskyre/Moylagh over the 80 minutes.

Kilskyre/Moylagh also had Ronan McGuinness sent off near the end of normal time but with the help of a last-gasp Joe Melia free they forced extra-time and looked for a time as if they might end up as winners. Melia ended up with 11 points, eight frees and two superb points.

However with the help of extra-time points from Barry Slevin, Sean Coffey, Mark Slevin, David Kirby, Will Flynn and Sean Martin Na Fianna booked their place in the final against O'Mahonys.
