Two changes for Meath ahead of Sligo exam

Meath manager Andy McEntee has made two changes from the side that lost so heavily to Kildare in the Leinster SFC semi-final for Saturday night's All-Ireland SFC round 2A qualifier in Pairc Tailteann.
Ratoath's Eamon Wallace is replaced by Navan O'Mahonys Ruairi O Coileain who impressed when introduced during the loss to Kildare, while Sean Tobin also comes into the team in place of Bryan McMahon who suffered a shoulder injury in training during the week.
While McEntee could have made wholesale changes following the abysmal display against Kildare he has keep those switches to the minimum, retaining all six starting defenders who also finished that Leinster SFC semi-final.
The selection is a show of faith by the management that they believe the team are not as poor as they produced against Kildare, but for many this could be the last chance saloon with several big names waiting in the wings to take their chance including James McEntee, Michael Newman and Brian Power who has returned from injury.
Meath played a strong Roscommon team in a SF challenge last weekend and recorded an impressive victory with 35 members of the panel getting a run out against what was a near full-strength Roscommon side.
Power returned to the fold for that challenge and by all accounts impressed in the centre-back role.
Sligo have also released their team with several key players still missing as manager Niall Carew revealed that their injury concerns have not eased much since their last competitive match.
“Cian Breheny is still out, this game is coming a week or two early for Cian. He had a very bad hamstring tear and was out for some time,” Carew told the Sligo Champion.
“Chriostoir Davey and David Kelly are both back from injury, while Cathal Henry is still out with a broken bone in his hand. Eoin McHugh is also out and he will be a big loss, but we will have to work around it.”
