Meath Ladies in search for new senior manager

Meath Ladies senior football team are searching for their fourth manager in two years following the news that Kilkenny native Eoin Hennessy has stepped down from the role.
Hennessy was appointed as the permanent replacement for former Mayo All-Ireland winner Diane O'Hora, who stepped down before the end of the 2015 championship campaign.
O'Hora was replaced on an interim basis by Jenny Rispin and after she guided the team to victory over Sligo in the opening game of 2016 NFL Div 2 Hennessy took over, but Meath then went on a losing run that saw them relegated to Div 3.
A disappointing Leinster SFC ended with just a draw with Laois to Meath's credit and despite a promising start to life in NFL Div 3 which saw them record two wins and a draw, Meath have subsequently slumped to three defeats and facing another term in the thirsd tier.
Promotion is still a possibility, but Meath need to defeat Leitrim in their last group game, hope that Offaly suffer an unlikely loss to Down and then negotiate their way through the play-offs to secure the sole promotion spot.
With the senior team regraded to compete in the Leinster IFC for 2017, Meath Ladies football is in need of a shot in the arm.
This Sunday morning at 11am in Ashbourne Eamonn Murray's minors will take on Dublin in the Leinster MFC semi-final - maybe another successful minor run will be the boost required.
