Meath defeat 12-man Derry in NHL Div 2B

Meath defeated Derry by 2-19 to 0-16 in the second round of the NHL Div 2B at Páirc Táilteann today.

Meath were ahead by 0-11 to 0-8 at the interval after failing to convert a penalty.

Derry had three men sent off in the second-half and Meath also lost a player to a red card.

There was a sideline melee that involved about 20 players in the second-half.

Adam Gannon and Peter Farrell scored the goals for Meath in the second-half.
