New Dunboyne manager Ciaron Byrne at Skryne tonight.

Dunne deal as Dunboyne inflict big defeat on Skryne

There was no stopping Dunboyne as they inflicted a 4-10 to 0-11 defeat on Skryne in the Feis Cup at Skryne this evening.

This turned out to be a particularly fruitful evening for Dunboyne full-forward Michael Dunne who scored 1-8 and generally gave the home defence a torrid time.

It was Skryne who led 0-7 to 1-3 at the break but there was no stopping Ciaron Byrne's side in the second-half as they romped home.

Stephen Moran grabbed Skryne's first-half goal and with Colin Clarke, Niall Jones and Dunne doing the same in the second-half this contest was over long before the end.

The home side had a good opening 30 minutes but with Mark Battersby and John Morley particularly prominent.

Battersby ended up with six points, with John Morley (two), Niall Morley, Paddy Carpenter and Cian Lynch also pointing but there was no holding back the Dunboyne steamroller.
