Racism hearing postponed

Wednesday's Leinster GAA Council hearing into allegations of racism following the Kehoe Cup final between Meath and Wicklow was postponed because one of the people expected to attend was ill.

Wicklow's Andy O’Brien, a member of the travelling community, claimed he was at the end of racist abuse during the Kehoe Cup final at Trim.

Wicklow lodged a complaint to the GAA and the matter was being investigated by Leinster Council with the referee's report believed to have shed little light on the alleged incident.

O'Brien was sent off in the 16th minute by Louth referee Kevin Brady following an incident in which a Meath player ended up on the ground and received attention.

No new date has been set for the hearing.
