Injured Kilmessan player brought to A&E

There was extra disappointment for Kilmesssan tonight as they lost for the second time in two outings at Pairc Tailteann in the SHC as they also saw talented wing-back Ryan Montague stretchered-off with an injury only minutes into the second-half.

The Kilmessan player was replaced by Paul Grimes and was brought to hospital in Drogheda to receive attention.

The player sustained a leg injury and it is understood that he may have a fractured bone, but this is not confirmed at this stage.

Kilmessan will have to plan for their next outing without Ryan when they face Na Fianna in a fourth round tie.
