GAA action to clash with Valentine's Day!

GAA club action in Meath will start next month over St Valentine's weekend which will probably enable the players to show their caring side after celebrating on the Friday night (14th February) with their wives, partners and girlfriends.

The first round of the A FL competitions are scheduled to take place on Sunday 16th February.

It is understood that Meath Co Board Fixtures Committee will NOT allow any games to be scheduled for St Valentine's night although committee secretary Jimmy Henry was unwilling to make any comments.

Mr Henry did reluctantly admit that he would be hopeful of receiving some Valentine Cards and that he would also be sending one.

The first round of All County  Football  A Leagues will commence weekending 16th February  with the second round a week later.

The first round  of the A HL will commence weekending 1st March with the second round a week later.

The closed dates for the adult championships will be from MONDAY, 28th JULY – MONDAY 4thAUGUST
