Kildare manager Kieran McGeeney suggested that there is more to come from his team after last Saturday's All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier victory over beaten Ulster finalists Monaghan.
"This year we had many injuries and I think we're only starting to come back now," commented the former Armagh player.
"The Meath game is going to be tough for us. It'll be a real step-up," he added.
Leinster Council chairman Seamus Howlin said he was looking forward to Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final between Meath and Kildare.
The provincial chairman commented after last night's Leinster u-21 A HC final between Meath and Kildare which was played in Trim.
"We are guaranteed at least one Leinster team in the last four of the All-Ireland, we might even have two, but I know Meath and Kildare will provide an exciting tussle on Sunday," he stated.
Meath Co Committee chairman Barney Allen also indicated that he was expecting a very close game and that Meath could expect a stern challenge from Kildare.
