Dear Sir - To the elected tenants of Dail Eireann and their party members, the 7th April 2009 will long be remembered with sadness for many people in the 26 counties of this Republic, as this was the day our children, the family and the elderly of the country took the blame for the financial failure of the banking institutions to stay within the financial and moral limitations of their establishments and to conduct their business in the same way each and everyone in the PAYE sector has to do without choice or challenge to those who set the benchmark for us in the PAYE cattle yard.
Families are to bear the brunt of these major bank loans to greedy people who travel light years above and beyond the normality of family life and spend more time on foreign golf courses than spending money in this country.
There are many wealthy people in various communities who gladly and without a second thought support many community projects and are part of where they live in many ways.
But why is my child and yours asked to pay more on the school bus each year? If it takes my name on a ballot paper as an candidate in June to knock on your door, that will happen. Enough is enough.
The ordinary people, meaning the workers of this State, are very tolerant of the actions of those in the so-called corridors of power for long enough.
I write this showing great respect to those elected representatives in the county who have, in the past, worked hard for the cause of our county and country.
Yours,
Stephen Ball,
Neilstown,
Bohermeen.
