Ballivor Horse Show this weekend

After a one year hiatus, the Ballivor Horse Show will return on tomorrow and Sunday with a huge crowds expected to attend at Blackditch, Longwood from 10am each morning.

After the sterling hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers, the show will return for its 47th year.
This year will be first show of new chairperson Pat Loughlin and he is really looking forward to the occasion.
"I am delighted to take up the reins of this wonderful committee and I am working hard to carry on the great work of my predecessors".
Ballivor Horse Show has a great mix of family friendly activities with a welcoming atmosphere.
Visitors will be able to sample some of the finest Horse and Pony show jumping, showing competitions or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings while sampling a wide variety of trade stands and food stalls.
Admission for children is free while accompanying an adult and there will also be free pony rides. Visitors are welcome to bring picnics and enjoy a real family friendly day.
This year will be an extra special year for dog lovers with a qualifier for the Gain All-Ireland Dog Championship on Sunday.
There will be a chance for every dog to win, with competitions for child handler, dog most like to take home and best dressed dog.
That's not all that Sunday has to offer though, as well as a thrilling and prestigious Grand Prix there will be competitions for all the family; Little Miss Ballivor Horse Show, Best Dressed Lady and children's sports.
Sunday is very much a family day out.
