Sarah Ainscough

Enfield student Sarah in Top Model UK Final

Enfield student Sarah Ainscough (16) is all set to take to the London catwalk tomorrow evening after making it to the final of the Top Model UK competition.
Apast pupil of St Mary's NS, Enfield, Sarah is a fifth year student in Scoil Mhuire, Trim. She is a daughter of Sylvia and Stephen Ainscough and the eldest of four children.
Sarah is competing in the editorial section and spends tomorrow in rehearsals before the final kicks off at 7pm. Her mum Syvlia said Sarah "has a mix of nerves and excitement" ahead of the final.
Recently Sarah made it to the final of the Top Model Ireland competition, where she made a lot of contacts and gained photo shoot and catwalk experience. Following on from that, she was invited to enter the UK competition.
The 5ft 8 beauty never modelled before and has really enjoyed the experience.
“I saw a facebook advert for Top Model Ireland and one of my friends went for it so I entered as well and was accepted,” explained Sarah. She said she loved the boot camp and did photo shoots for different companies as well as modelling on the catwalk.
Sarah said her favourite part was the runway and when asked how she managed in the skyscraping heels, Sarah admits it was very hard and her feet were killing her.

Sylvia said Sarah's confidence has grown hugely since becoming involved in the competition.
“Sarah was always very quiet and didn't have much confidence,” said Sylvia. “ She never did any modelling before she did the boot camp for two days and now she is brimming with confidence.
“She is really loving it. I didn't think she would take to it, but she came out from the boot camp and said it was the best day ever.”
Sarah has thanked local businesses Pure Hair and Beauty from Enfield and Jenabelle Nails for sponsoring her and also her classmates for their support.
