Death of Mullagh accident victim


One of the six young people involved in last Sunday morning's horrific car crash outside Mullagh has died.
Cormac Murphy of Cloughbally Upper, Mullagh died today at Beaumont Hospital.
He is sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Fergus and Bernie, sister Andrea and step sister Rachel.
Cormac and five others were injured in the accident which occurred on the Claddagh Road at Rantavan, near Mullagh village when their vehicle hit a ditch at approximately 5.30am on Sunday morning.
They were all aged between 19 and 21-years-old.
All six were taken to hospitals in Dublin and Cavan.
Their communities came together in Maghera Church near Virginia on Monday night for a special mass for the victims, which was celebrated by Fr Dermot Prior, PP Virginia.
The families of all six victims attended along with friends, relatives and neighbours.
