Thief injured in Navan break-in

Navan Gardai are appealing for information following a break-in to the Mise premises on Navan's Trimgate Street where the culprit smashed a brick through the window to grab the till, injuring their arm in the process.

The front window of Mise, a beauty salon and supplier of high end beauty products, was smashed and there was some blood at the scene.

The thief did not enter the store, but put his arm through the broken window to grab the cash drawer, which only contained coins, and appears to have cut their arm as they did so.

Other than the smashed front window, Mise manager Aoife Kellett explained that damage was confined to the front desk area.

Anyone who was in the Trimgate Street area on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and saw someone with a cut on their arm or witnessed the incident is asked to contact Navan Garda Station on (046) 9079930.
