Guns 'n' Roses for Slane

The reformed Guns 'n' Roses will return to Slane Castle in May, 25 years after their first appearance at Lord Henry Mountcharles back garden.

The 'Sweet Child of Mine' performers will take Meath by storm on Saturday 27th May in their 'Not in this Lifetime tour.'

The original group got together again early this year for the first time in over 20 years. 

The gig was announced at a press conference in Dublin this morning.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday 9th December at 9am.

Lord Henry Mountcharles of Slane Castle said: 'We are really thrilled to have one of the most exciting rock'n'roll bands in the world coming back to Slane 25 years after they first played, the same month in 1992 which was critically considered to be one of the best Slane's ever.'

Lord Henry's daughter Lady Tamara Conyngham is thrilled by by next years headliners. 'I'm just so excited that I will finally get the chance to see one of the greats. I missed them the first time round,  the fact I get a second chance is pretty incredible.'
