Motorcyclist dies in Drumree collision

A man in his thirties has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car at Warrenstown, Drumree, this evening.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R154, Trim-Dublin Road at Warrenstown shortly before 4.30pm.

The man, believed to be from the local area, suffered fatal injuries when the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a car. He was pronounced dead at scene. His body has been taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan where a post mortem is to be arranged. He was the sole occupant of the motorcycle.


The occupants of the car were uninjured. The R154 is closed at Warrenstown to facilitate Garda Forensic Collison Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
