There was success for the Team Ireland golfers when Meath woman Rosemary O’Reilly from Collierstown, Tara took a silver medal in the Individual Skills on day six at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles.

Rosemary has a long association with Special Olympics Ireland and has been playing golf for many years. Her dedication has been rewarded with this medal.

It was a good day for Team Ireland athletes who put in a stunning performance on day six of the World Games doubling the tally of medals and bringing the overall number to 70.

Team Ireland gymnasts gave a series of incredible performances to claim an amazing 14 medals, four gold, seven silver and three bronze.
